I am a passionate student who thrives from learning new skills and creating exciting new pieces. I enjoying working on the projects college sets me but enjoy and take great pleasure from setting myself individual projects to complete at home. I love working in an old fashioned style, encorporating hand embroidery with quirky materials to create a unique effect. At present I am in the process of completing a patchwork quilt, based on the theme of identity and nature. I have drawn inspirations from many artists and love soaking up their knowledge to come up with my own ideas. I particulaly like the 'object of desire' project i completed, as it really gave me the freedom to express my self with the scale and design. I hope that if sucessful I will be able to learn new ways of manipulating fabrics with the tutors, in order to create stunning pieces to be proud of. I am looking forward to making use of all the studio space your university has to offer and cant wait to see the work i can produce.
